Student Roundtable with Dr. Stanislav Secrieru

The EUCE is hosting an informal student roundtable with Dr. Secrieru that focuses on American Perspectives on the EU. Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in joining this discussion are invited to join us.

Spealer bio:
Dr. Stanislav Secrieru is currently associate researcher at the Center for East European and Asian Studies in Bucharest. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest. Dr. Secrieru recently concluded a fellowship program at the Institute for European Politics in Berlin, where he conducted research on Russia’s perceptions of the EU. His previous professional experience includes holding a junior researcher position at the Conflict Prevention Studies Center in Bucharest and a research fellowship at the NATO Defense College in Rome. Dr. Secrieru has also worked with European Council on Foreign Relations in London, Heinrich Boll Foundation (regional branch in Tbilisi) and DemosEuropa in Warsaw on several research projects covering EU-Russia relations and the EU’s policy in the Eastern neighborhood. His most recent publications include: “The 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi: Implications for the Caucasus”, “Integration Reloaded: Streamlining Moldova’s European Course” and ”EU’s Eastward Enlargement: How to Make the Impossible Possible?”
