Tertulia II - Developing an Assessment Strategy for the Multilingual/Multicultural Classroom

Georgia Tech's World Englishes Committee invites faculty to an informal "tertulia" to discuss experiences and strategies for dialogue with students about writing and communication concerns in Georgia Tech courses. Note: The Spanish term "tertulia" refers to an informal gathering to share expertise and broaden individual knowledge on a topic. The concept has recently been adopted by Science and Technology disciplines as a means of discussing special topics. "Tertulia II - Developing an Assessment Strategy for the Multilingual/Multicultural Classroom." This discussion will focus on developing strategies to assess the multiple perspectives and differences in writing conventions reflected in student writing.
