Join Yahoo! web experts for a week of learning, hacking and fun! You’ll hear interesting tech talks, hacking tips and lessons, and get hands-on coding workshops where you’ll work with cutting-edge technology.

The week’s events will culminate with the University Hack Day competition—a day-long festival of coding, camaraderie, demos, awards, food, music and jollity (it’s a real word, look it up).

Tuesday, March 8th - Kickoff Hack U Talk, Raffle and Dinner

Thursday, March 10th - Guest Lecture: Douglas Crockford: Using Javascript Well
JavaScript has been shunned by the academic community because of its many obvious shortcomings. But it includes the best features of Scheme and Self, making it a language deserving of study and research. It was the first lambda language to go mainstream.

Friday, March 11th - Official 24 hour hack competition kickoff
Let the Hacking begin! Ongoing talks, Food, Music, Games, Raffle prizes and Fun throughout the day/night in central base camp area.
Location: COC 101 & 102 (Move to Klaus 1116 E/W at 2pm through following day)

Saturday, March 12th - Demos, Judging, Lunch & Awards
Location: Klaus (specific location of demos TBA on website)
