GradChats

Primary tabs

Graduate school can sometimes feel like a never ending battle especially in the current situation. Want a quick way to de-stress? Simply talking or complaining about the issues to others in the same boat might do the trick. Our graduate students across all majors have similar concerns about anxiety due to the pandemic, maintaining health, relationship with their advisor, financial situation, lack of social life, etc. We want to provide our students a means to vent and complain or feel comforted.

GradChats is an initiative of Graduate SGA, a student-led discussion forum. We provide a space for graduate students to come together in a welcoming environment to discuss, share experiences and offer each other suggestions while building a sense of community.

The first session will be virtually on Wednesday, Feb 3rd from 5:00 - 6:30 PM, where we will be discussing the topic "Work-life balance – A delicate balance for Grad Students". We have limited space so please sign up early. Selected students will be notified via email with a link to the Bluejeans meeting.

Expect a space to talk openly and meet students like you.

Please note that this chat is not a therapy series. If you would benefit from the support of a therapist, Counseling Center can provide expert care.
