Race, Bias and Privilege Workshop

Primary tabs

Race, Bias and Privilege” Workshops for students and postdocs

Description: This interactive workshop is geared towards students and postdocs who want to learn more about how race based implicit bias impacts our actions and specific ways that each of us can become advocates for a more inclusive campus community. Faculty and staff members may register for this workshop as space allows.

As a participant in this workshop, each participant will learn the following:

  • Understanding the link between implicit bias, micro aggressions, and privilege.
  • A discussion of current events that demonstrate the connection between race, bias and privilege in our society.
  • Concrete ways that each person can mitigate bias in their settings and become advocates for a more inclusive campus community.
