Georgia Tech School of Music and 2020 France Atlanta

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech is co-sponsoring 2020 France Atlanta with a range of online events, and the arts and technology are featured components!

The Georgia Tech School of Music hosts two webinars on October 14 and 15 at 11 a.m. Jumping off from Richard Brautigan's 1967 poem, All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace, these open discussions will consider how we interact with machines, especially in the process of artistic creation.

  • "Working Creatively with Machines" - October 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (composition and writing).
  • "Performances with Machines" - October 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (performance).

This event is organized by IRCAM (Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music) and the STMS lab (a collective including IRCAM, The French National Centre for Scientific Research, the Ministry of Culture, and Sorbonne University), in collaboration with Georgia Tech’s School of Music, NYU Steinhardt – Music Education, the UC Berkeley Center for New Music and Audio Technologies, and the Atlanta Office of the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France in the United States.
