Redesigning Cities: The Speedwell Foundation Talks @ Georgia Tech returns this Fall!

Our first event of the semester welcomes Billy Fleming and Nancy Levinson to discuss Redesigning Cities with the Green New Deal.

Billy Fleming served in the Obama White House, and is now the Wilks Family Director of the Ian L. McHarg Center in the Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Fleming is also one of the leaders behind the Superstudio effort, which is a "national conversation about how the framework of the Green New Deal can be translated into actual projects and where, as a matter of priority, these projects should take place, what will they look like, who will they service, and how will they roll out."

Nancy Levinson is the editor and executive director of Places, the leading journal committed to public scholarship on the future of architecture, landscape, and urbanism. Levinson will lead the conversation with Fleming about design’s role in the Green New Deal advancing equity, jobs, and justice in relation to climate change.

Georgia Tech is proud to be an academic partner of Places and to co-host this as a Places Event.

This event is free to attend. Please register to receive a link to the event.
