We can’t wait to welcome students back to campus this fall. New first-year student move-in is August 8-9, while all other residents move in August 13-16. Here are some of the ways we’re modifying move-in this year.

  • Students will choose a move-in time using a mobile app. They can find information about this app in their email. Time slots for move-in are spaced out to allow Housing to limit the number of people in one space at any given time.
  • There will also be a drive through check-in process that will minimize contact and touch points.
  • Sanitizing stations and enhanced surface area cleaning will also be incorporated into this year’s move-in process.
  • Volunteers will be present to assist and will be wearing masks.

More information leading up to move-in will be sent via email, so make sure your student is checking their Georgia Tech email.

The To Parents page on our website is a good place to begin thinking about move-in.

When students are packing, they should use our Items to Bring page for suggestions. Don’t let them pack too much and encourage communication between roommates to avoid duplicate items.
