Is Going Greek Right for Your Student ?

Primary tabs

What if there were an organization your student could join that would make them more likely to return for a second year, more likely to graduate, more likely to get involved, and feel more academically supported during their time at Georgia Tech? There are many unique benefits for students who join a fraternity or sorority at Georgia Tech. These organizations, among the oldest establishments on campus, provide a vital social outlet that teaches leadership skills, promotes civic engagement, and produces a happier, more well-rounded student.

Sorority and Fraternity Intake/Recruitment Updates

As we gear up for Fall 2020, we know that things may look a little different, but we are still committed to helping your student find their home while at Georgia Tech. Within our Office we have four governing councils into which our chapters are organized:

  • Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)
  • National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
  • Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC)
  • Interfraternity Council (IFC)

Each council has its own unique intake and recruitment process for potential new members. Currently, each council is working on innovative ways to ensure that opportunities for membership in the fall remain attainable and safe. In addition, they are working to connect with families and students throughout the summer and into the fall semester.

Check out our Guide to Fraternity and Sorority Life to learn more about our community, but please note that plans for recruitment/intake may be subject to change as we continue to monitor Covid-19 and its impact on Georgia Tech. We will update the digital guide as well as our website frequently throughout the summer. Please continue to check back for the most recent information.

Live Webinars

Save the date for June 12 and July 17 at 4 p.m. EDT! Fraternity and Sorority Life will be hosting two live webinars for parents and families during which we will address intake and recruitment, provide updates from our staff, and take a look into how we have continued to engage with current members and future members throughout the summer. Links to join the webinars will be made available through FASET, the Office of Admission, and our website. Please continue to check our website at greek.gatech.edu for more information. We hope to see you there!

Fraternity and Sorority GPA

Congratulations to the Georgia Tech Fraternity and Sorority community as member students received a combined 3.70 GPA for Spring 2020! To date, this is the highest All Greek GPA. In addition, congratulations to each council for its own academic achievements.
