New Faculty Orientation to Sponsored Programs

Primary tabs

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is the office responsible for all sponsored project proposal review and submission and all post-award (nonaccounting) grant and contract administration services for the Institute; proposal and project reporting, copying, packaging and shipping services; subcontract negotiations and administration under sponsored projects; identification of funding opportunities; and sponsored programs training (NSF FastLane, Grants.gov and budgets), including special presentations to faculty and administrators in individual departments when requested.

During this luncheon, we will provide an overview of the services that OSP provides, as well as review Institute and federal policies and procedures. Representatives from the Office of Research Compliance will present information on obtaining approval from the Institutional Review Board (human subjects), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (rDNA). Representatives from Technology Licensing, Sponsored Programs and GTRC will attend to answer specific agency and/or policy questions. This is a highly interactive session, so bring your questions!
