2020-2021 Permit Renewals and Sales

Parking permit registration has been rescheduled for June 2020 to allow all customers a chance to renew or purchase their permits.

Parking Permit Enforcement

Permits are not required to park on campus, until further notice. Regular parking permit requirements will not be enforced. Restricted/reserved spaces, ADA spaces, visitor lots and no parking zones will be enforced. Parking deck gates will remain down for security.

Transit Services

Starting Wednesday, April 1, 2020 the following bus routes will temporarily suspend service:

  • Red
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Emory
  • Midnight Rambler
  • Tech Square
  • NARA/TEP


The following routes will continue to operate under reduced schedules.

As a safety precaution, PTS has increased measures to disinfect all transit vehicles multiple times daily. Please continue to follow the CDC’s recommendations to protect yourself and the well-being of the community.

 

April MARTA Passes

Monthly MARTA pass sales for April 2020 will be offered online at driverseat.gatech.edu instead of in the PTS office. Online sales will be available Wednesday, March 25 through Tuesday, March 31. Customers will receive an email confirmation with a date and time to pick up passes from the PTS office.

Please note:

-Until further notice, monthly MARTA passes will not be available for purchase from the PTS office.  Customers should purchase passes for May and subsequent months directly from MARTA and other regional transit providers. 

-Customers who purchase monthly MARTA passes via payroll deduction will receive a pass for April as these have been already purchased/processed by OHR. If you would like to cancel your pass for May and subsequent months, please cancel your deduction in OneUSG Connect between March 30 and April 4.

  1. Sign into Techworks to access OneUSG Connect.
  2. Click on the OneUSG Connect tile.
  3. Click on the Voluntary Deductions tile.
  4. Click on your MARTA or other transit pass deduction.
  5. Enter a Deduction Stop Date of April 4 (so your April check is not deducted for the May pass).
  6. Click Submit.

Stingerette Nighttime Service

Beginning Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Stingerette will operate on a modified schedule from 6:00 p.m. until midnight seven nights a week. Reserve rides at stingerette.com or via the Stingerette mobile app.

 

PTS Office Closure

The PTS office will be closed starting Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The PTS Customer Service team will be available to assist customers via email at info.parking@parking.gatech.edu during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday). Parking account management is available 24/7 at driverseat.gatech.edu .

 

Grocery Shuttle

Additional operating hours to Publix at Atlantic Station Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays starting Wednesday, March 18.

Airport Shuttle

Direct transportation to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (South Domestic Terminal only). Service is provided every 2.5 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 23 through Tuesday, March 31.

Stops include North Avenue Apartments, Techwood/Bobby Dodd Way, Graduate/Family Housing, Fitten Hall, West Village and 8th Street/Hemphill Avenue.

Please note:

-All passengers must be seated. In order to maintain safe social distancing, please sit in every other row while on the bus.

-Assistance with luggage may not be available.

-The shuttle will not provide return trips from the airport.

 

Airport access is also available via MARTA. Students may use the Tech Trolley to access the Midtown Station or the Tech Square Route to access the North Avenue Station. Use the Red or Gold rail lines heading south to travel to airport.

 

The Driver’s Seat

Driverseat.gatech.edu will be available for citation appeals and account management.
