Renee Shelby has been selected as Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology and the Program of Gender and Sexuality Studies at Northwestern University.

Renee will work with two mentors including Professor Steven Epstein, Chair of Sociology and an affiliate with the Science and Human Culture Program as well as with the Sexualities Project (SPAN). She will also work with Professor Laura Beth Nielsen, Director of Legal Studies and Professor in Sociology at Northwestern on this two year appointment.

This appointment will begin in September. Right now Renee is finishing an interesting and important dissertation, "Designing Justice: Sexual Violence, Technology, and Citizen Activism." She hopes to defend her dissertation in late April. The Northwestern postdoc will allow her to expand this research into a book while also pursuing other research interests.

Congratulations Renee on this fantastic opportunity!
