Emerging issues in transportation and health research: highlights of the new NCHRP Research Roadmap for Transportation and Public Health

Please join us on Tuesday, March 10 for a presentation by Dr. Andrew L. Dannenberg, Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, Seattle and founding member of the HPRG group.

In this presentation, Dr. Dannenberg will discuss how both transportation and public health professionals are increasingly recognizing the links between transportation and public health. A recently released report, the Transportation Research Board National Cooperative Highway Research Program NCHRP Research Report 932: A Research Roadmap for Transportation and Public Health, reviews what is known in this field and provides a plan for funding research over the next decade that can lead to greater consideration of health issues in transportation contexts.  Dr. Dannenberg served on the TRB oversight panel for this report (https://www.nap.edu/download/25644) and will provide highlights of the opportunities described in this report for conducting further research related to transportation and public health issues.
