My New Purpose: Derrick Morgan on Pivoting from Athlete to Entrepreneur

Join us for CREATE-X’s Deep Startups event featuring former Georgia Tech and Tennessee Titans football star, Derrick Morgan.  He will speak about lessons learned as a professional football player, as well as:

• Emerging technology that impacts the game
• What it takes to become a successful entrepreneur
• Opportunities for innovation in athletics

About the speaker: Instilled with hard work at a young age by his mom, Derrick Morgan began working as soon he was old enough to acclimate himself to the real world. After receiving more recognition on the football field during his junior year of high school, Derrick set his mind to college football and arrived on the campus of Georgia Tech. In 2010, his next goal was accomplished as well with the Tennessee Titans drafted him. While his goal was soon realized, a torn ACL injury turned Derrick’s world upside down, forcing him to evaluate his value outside the football field.
