“The Body Keeps the Score”: Embodiment as a Tool to Understand Health in Academia and Our Communities
Primary tabs
How does building more mind-body awareness impact the work that we do at Tech and in the communities we are trying to build? What is its potential impact on the well-being of our students, faculty, staff – our campus?
This spotlight draws upon the unique yet overlapping experiences of two academic faculty who live and teach mind-body practices in the Atlanta communities. You are invited to Join SLS as we welcome Dr. Tiffany Johnson and Dr. Narin Hassan to hear about the ways in which these practices have impacted their research and teaching experiences. Participate in a conversation about how their collaboration on projects related to Georgia Tech and the Atlanta communities in which they practice can impact our academic spaces. Join in on imagining and cultivating a culture of sustainable wellness, equity, and justice.
