Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) has kicked off its seventh annual Buzzin’ Back to School Drive, and now they need your help!

The annual school supply drive benefits Georgia Tech employees who may lack the financial resources to purchase school supplies for their children in grades K-12. Last year over 450 filled backpacks were gifted to 225 Georgia Tech families. Following are the supplies kids typically needed for school that will be used to fill backpacks*:

1. To make it easier for you to purchase supplies, an Amazon Wishlist for Georgia Tech Buzzin’ Back to School has been set up.
2. A contest has been set up to recognize the department/unit that donates the most school supplies. The winning department/unit will earn a certificate and bragging rights. This is also a great way to form community within your department!

Donations can be taken to GTHR at 500 Tech Parkway. The deadline to request a backpack is Wednesday, July 17 and the deadline to donate supplies is Friday, July 19. Backpack recipients will be notified on Friday, July 19 and backpacks will be distributed on Thursday, July 25.
