EXPANDING THE REACH OF YOUR RESEARCH

Primary tabs

AN OPEN FORUM ON AUTHORSHIP AND YOUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
A panel of faculty, researchers, and practitioners discuss ways to broaden the dissemination of your research through IP management and the use of new publishing mechanisms. Hear first hand stories of the Google Books case from Joseph Beck, partner in the Atlanta office of Kilpatrick Stockton - lead council for Google Inc., and learn how the settlement impacts authors and copyright owners. Panelists will discuss their experiences negotiating with publishers to retain rights to their own research, complying with funding agency requirements to increase public access to their research, and sharing research through repositories and open access journals in order to increase the impact and citation of your research
Panelists for the event come from a wide spectrum of disciplines including law, computing, biology and mathematics.
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
