Today, innovations in sports medicine are helping to both prevent and treat sports injuries, lengthening the careers of professional athletes, and getting weekend warriors back into the action quicker than ever.

Omer Inan, a researcher in the Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience as well as an associate professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is focused on developing clinically relevant medical devices and systems for patients, improving their odds.

This endeavor hits close to home for Inan, who was a varsity athlete himself at Stanford University. Listen to Inan's story on the podcast from the College of Engineering right here.
