Yujia He, an alumna from the Georgia Institute of Technology's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, will serve as a tenure-track assistant professor at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky, starting this fall.

He graduated from the Nunn School with a Ph.D. in International Affairs, Science and Technology in 2016, in addition to receiving her Master's in International Affairs. Her areas of specialization include science and technology policy, environmental and energy policy, international political economy, and comparative politics of Asia.

He has enjoyed an illustruous career since graduating in 2016, working at the Wilson Center's Science and Tech Innovation Program before serving as a visiting fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security.

At the Wilson Center, she conducted survey research for the UN-sponsored Citizen Science Mosquito Monitoring Workshop in addition to preparing a brief entitled "How China is Preparing for an AI-Powered Future."

He currently works as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. 

The Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce has prepared graduate students for careers in international affairs for 57 years, and has been ranked among the nation's best international affairs programs.
