On Monday, May 6, 2019, construction for the new Campus Center will begin.
Several parking and transit modifications will be implemented.

Unfortunately, the following parking locations will close permanently to accommodate this project:

-W03: parking lots at ISyE and behind Student Center deck

-Area 3 Visitors Lot

You are welcome to park in your current lots until Sunday, May 5 at 11:59 p.m. (PTS will send email reminders as this date approaches).

W03 Permit Customers

All W03 permit customers will be given gate access to the W02-Student Center deck and the W10 CRC parking deck. Access will be valid Saturday, May 4 through August 14, 2019. You will not need to exchange your permit hangtags; however, please make sure your W03 permit hangtag is displayed properly when parking in W02 and W10. (If you prefer to park in W21: Physics/Boggs lot, please email info.parking@parking.gatech.edu).

Renewals for 2019-2020 parking permits will be available April 1-10, 2019 at driverseat.gatech.edu. During this period, all current W03 customers may renew their permit for W02-Student Center deck. Permits for 2019-2020 will be valid August 15, 2019 through August 14, 2020. (If you prefer to park in a location other than W02, you may select a location during general permit sales, which begins April 24).
 

SmartPark Customers

You are welcome to park in Visitors Area 1, W23-North Campus deck or E81-Tech Square deck using your SmartPark access/units.

W02 Construction

To accommodate the design of the new Campus Center, the W02-Student Center deck will be converted to a mixed-use deck for both permit and visitors parking. New entrances and exits will be installed, with construction beginning Saturday, March 16.  The W02 parking deck will remain open during construction of the new entrance and exit.  However, several spaces will be off-line intermittently to facilitate the construction.  Any spaces taken off-line will be marked and permit holders will receive email notices as the date approaches. Construction is expected to be completed in early April. Equipment installation and deck conversion should be completed by May 4.

Area 3 Visitors Validations

Unused Area 3 validations may be exchanged for a new parking location (with the exception of E81-Tech Square parking deck). Please email info.parking@parking.gatech.edu for exchanges.

Bus Parking on Ferst Drive
Complimentary bus parking spaces on Ferst Drive will be removed. Buses will be allowed to park on Hemphill Avenue starting May 6. To purchase bus parking permits, please email Michelle Williams at michelle.williams@pts.gatech.edu.

Bus Stop Closure

The ISyE and Instruction Center bus stop will be closed temporarily starting May 6. Please board the Tech Trolley, Green Route and Red Route at the temporary stop located north of the CRC brick crosswalk. The ISyE/Instruction Center stop will remain closed throughout the construction.

Pedestrian Access

Several pedestrian walkways will be impeded. Please follow the directional signage along the construction fences for alternate pedestrian routes.

Construction Signage and Wayfinding
Please obey the instructions found on all wayfinding signage during the construction for your safety and for the safety of everyone on campus.

Construction of the new Campus Center is scheduled through Summer 2022.
