RHA Elects 2019-2020 Executive Board

Primary tabs

Congratulations to the newly elected RHA Executive Board! All six positions have finally been filled: President, Director of Internal Affairs, Director of Finance, Director of Member Engagement, Director of Programming, and Director of External Relations. RHA's new leaders will be trained by the outgoing board for the next two months before taking office at the RHA's End-of-Year Banquet on April 17th.

Elections took place during Legislatice Council on February 6th and 13th, with an emergency election on February 20th to fill the vacant Director of Programming position. Voting delegates from each Hall Council on campus discussed the many outstanding candidates who came before the Legislative Council, with long question and debate periods for each position. After many close races races, RHA is proud to present the 2019-2020 Executive Board.

The board will be lead by President Emmett Miskell, who campaigned on a platform of accountability and community building. Emmett first joined RHA in Fall 2017 as a Hall Council Officer for Hefner, Armstrong. His committment to service quickly became aparent as he ran for and was elected to be Director of Member Engagement for Spring 2018. Emmett dove into this position headfirst, organizing the organization's Spring training retreat within his first month of office. Later that semester, Emmett put on RHA's annual GT Unite event, which later went on to be awarded Program of the Year by the Georgia Residence Hall Organization. No one to become complacent, Emmett continued to branch out by being elected as Director of Programming for the 2018-2019 school year. Getting off to an impressive start, he put on large events each day of welcome, with highlights such as Glow-in-the-Dark Roller Skating and a Murder Mystery Dinner. Emmett continued to put on events throughout the semester, such as Escape from Finals. Emmett's experience in a myriad of different positions around RHA  as well as his history of excellence will suite him well in leading the organization. His goals to improve the organization from the inside out bode well, as RHA continues it's mission of Making Halls into Homes.

Assisting Emmett in maintaining a smooth running organization will be Director of Internal Affairs Taylor Dingler. Focused on transparency and engagement, Taylor plans to make the organization more open and inviting to residents. Her experience as a Hall Council Officer and IT coordinator will aid this mission
