FutureMedia Fest, hosted by Georgia Tech from October 4-7, 2010, is an interactive “mash-up” to explore and enable new paradigms in how content is created, distributed and consumed in a converging media world. At the event, a group of the top executives and investors, innovators and entrepreneurs, academics and researchers in the media and technology industry will discuss the transformational impact of next generation digital, social and mobile media across industries, societies and our daily lives. The four-day event features compelling keynote addresses, panel discussions, birds-of-a-feather workshops, demonstrations of the latest new media technologies, and presentations by startup companies, researchers and academics driving innovation. Highlights from each of the four-days of the event include: 

• Day One (Monday, October 4) – Opening keynote from Michael Jones, chief technology advocate at Google; Game Changer and Fostering Entrepreneurship panels; Startup Showcase
• Day Two (Tuesday, October 5) – Keynote addresses from Mike Kelly, CEO of The Weather Channel and Clyde Tuggle, SVP for Global Public Affairs & Communications for The Coca-Cola Company; panel discussions on the Future of Advertising and Marketing, Music Technology and Future of Gaming; Live music performances and music technology demonstrations
• Day Three (Wednesday, October 6) – Keynote addresses from Russ Daniels, chief technology officer for HP Enterprise Services and Carlos Dominquez, SVP Cisco Systems; panels on the Future of TV, Social Media for Collective Intelligence and Augmented Reality; Georgia Tech student, faculty and researcher showcase
• Day Four (Thursday, October 7) – Closing keynote from Richie Baneham and Matt Madden, the technology wizards behind the smash hit movie “Avatar”; GTISC Security Summit panel on cybersecurity; tours of Georgia Tech and the Savannah College of Art and Design
