and more. No matter what the position, students are quickly immersed in the CRC’s dynamic atmosphere. The work environment is anything but typical. Quay Barnes, who is an intramural official, enjoys the high-speed pace of his position. “I like staying active,” Barnes said. “It’s fun to be close to the action.” Although not all positions involved running down a field or court, they all involve active engagement with students and other members of the community.

Working at the CRC is a great way to gain work experience alongside your peers without sacrificing academics. David Hogan, who works as a facility assistant, enjoys how it’s not a challenge to balance school work and his job. ‘The hours are flexible and the people I work with are great.”

The large student staff makes for a great community. Many students have made friendships with their coworkers that will last longer than their time at the CRC or even at Georgia Tech. "Working at the CRC has been one of the best parts of my college career,” said Kristie Teoh, a building supervisor. “The people I work with are fun, encouraging, and supportive. I’ve made so many lasting friendships that I value both in and outside of the CRC."

To find out more about how awesome it is to work at the CRC, come to an info session. Info sessions will be held on October 11th and 16th at 6:00 p.m. in CRC Room 231. These are a great way to learn about the different positions, get tips on how to ace your interview, and engage in a panel discussion with representatives from different staff areas.
