Office of International Education Update

Primary tabs

The fall is a busy time of year for Yellow Jackets to get settled, meet fellow students, get involved in the different organizations, and plan for the future. The Office of International Education (OIE) seeks to aid in student planning as much as possible and we have two major events coming up to facilitate this—the Global Internship Resource Expo and the Study Abroad Fair.

This year OIE will host the second annual Global Internship Resource Expo on September 20 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. The Expo will highlight opportunities for students to intern abroad during their time at Tech. Students will be able to interact with internship employers and providers as well as connect with previous Georgia Tech interns through poster presentations. All undergraduate and graduate students interested in interning outside of the U.S. are encouraged to attend!

OIE is hosting the 23rd Annual Study Abroad Fair on October 2 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. The Fair showcases the wide variety of international opportunities open to undergraduate students like exchanges abroad, faculty-led study abroad programs (like the Pacific Spring Study Abroad Program or the China Summer Program), Global Internships, and more. This is the best chance for students to meet program directors, student alumni from these programs, and get information on how financial aid and scholarships will work when they study abroad. There will be tasty treats and fun raffle prizes. We hope to see students there!
