On Wednesday, Aug. 29, Tech will be holding its Graduate Student Convocation followed by a picnic for all graduate students.

Convocation, held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in McCamish Pavilion, will familiarize new students with Tech's history, traditions and academic standards. The dress code is casual, and all students and their guests are welcome to attend.

At 5:30 p.m., the picnic will begin in McCamish Pavilion (due to inclement weather, the picnic location has been moved from Tech Green to McCamish). This festive event will feature games, photo opportunities, giveaways and fun for the entire family. Local food trucks will be on hand providing free concessions. The event will last until 8:30 p.m.

On-campus students and guests are encouraged to walk to the event, while paid parking will be available in the E81 (Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center) and W23 (State Street) lots for off-campus attendees.
