2018 State of Latinos Conference

This groundbreaking new two-day event hosted by the Latin American Association addresses critical issues impacting Georgia’s rapidly growing Latino community. On the first day of the conference, Jennifer Clark, associate professor of Public Policy and associate director for Smart Cities and Inclusive Innovation, will present new research on the Essential Economy.

Day 1 focuses on macro-level dynamics affecting the state’s 1 million Latinos and their social, economic, political and policy implications. The day concludes with a networking cocktail reception to connect stakeholders from across Georgia.

Day 2 features concurrent education and housing summits that dive deeper into these key areas to understand the issues, explore innovative initiatives, promote systemic solutions and build the capacity of organizations and agencies in Georgia to serve the Latino population.
