The Strategic Energy Institute invites you to attend

“Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV)”

featuring

David Danielson

former assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE)

Bill Gates recently established a venture capital fund to foster transformational low carbon technologies. In addition to clean energy, the fund has interest in a variety of "Gigaton" technologies and approaches for reducing climate change effects (e.g., land use, agriculture, eliminating beef).

David Danielson, former assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE), has been named the managing director for science at Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV). Georgia Tech’s Strategic Energy Institute (SEI) will host a one-hour forum on Friday, December 15 at 12:30pm, featuring David Danielson, who will provide an overview of BEV and speak about its vision to invest in next generation technologies that provide reliable, affordable, zero-carbon energy, food, and products to the world. This group forum will be open to the Georgia Tech campus and local innovation organizations.

Seating is still available, and if you have interest in attending, please RSVP to
