Ph.D Candidate John Schmid Publishes Article in Science and Public Policy

Sam Nunn School of International Affairs Ph.D. candidate Jon Schmid has coauthored a piece with Sergey Kolesnikov and Jan Youtie, both from the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech. The article titled, “Plans versus experiences in transitioning transnational education into research and economic development: a case study” was recently published in Science and Public Policy

Jon obtained his bachelors in Economics and International Affairs from American University and his masters in Finance from George Washington University. Prior to starting his doctoral degree, he worked as a consultant for three years at an economic development consulting firm. Jon’s current research focuses on military technology innovation and determinants of national innovative productivity.
