EVENT OVERVIEW
CHAI is a new Joint Center between the College of Computing and GTRI dedicated to the advancement of human health through innovations in data, analytics, and healthcare interoperability.  The launch will introduce the Center to the Georgia Tech community and feature a Keynote by health informatics pioneer Dr. Ed Hammond with a reception to follow.

Opening Remarks - 2 pm

  • Welcome by Steve Cross (EVPR)
  • Andy Gerber (Director, GTRI) and Zvi Galil (Dean, College of Computing) discuss the One GT Health Initiative
  • Center Directors (Jon Duke, Jim Rehg, and Jimeng Sun) discuss the vision for CHAI and highlight new data and analytics resources for campus and opportunities for collaboration

Keynote by Dr. Ed Hammond - 2:30 pm
CHAI presents Dr. Ed Hammond, Director of the Duke University Center for Health Informatics and a pioneer in the informatics field.

Reception - 3:30 pm
Join us for food, networking, and academic merriment following Dr. Hammond's talk.
 

CHAi is a new joint center between GT College of Computing and GTRI dedicated to the advancement of human health through innovations in data capture, analytics, and interoperable systems. 

We invite you to join us for our Kickoff Seminar and Reception featuring a Keynote by Dr. Ed Hammond, Director of the Duke University Center for Health Informatics and a pioneer in the informatics field. In addition to Dr. Hammond's keynote, we will discuss the vision for CHAI and hear from campus leadership on the goals of GT's strategic health initiative.  Come for the learning, stay for the food as we enjoy a reception to follow.
