Marilyn Brown Captures Another Award

Dr. Marilyn Brown, professor in the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech, recently won one of five Champion in Energy Efficiency in Industry Awards from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE).

According to the ACEEE's news release on the matter, the awards "recognize leadership and accomplishment in the industrial energy efficiency field. Winners are selected based on demonstrated excellence in industrial leadership, lifetime achievement, research and development, implementation and deployment, or energy policy." 

Brown joins seasoned professionals from the likes of EnergyPro, Rutgers University, and Leidos in her honors. 

Brown was specifically awarded for, "her decades of research and leadership in industrial energy efficiency. She conducted research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, wrote trend-setting publications, co-founded the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance, and created and led the Climate and Energy Policy Laboratory."
