In a recent piece for BELT Magazine, Assistant Professor of History Todd Michney discusses the work featured in his recent book, Surrogate Suburbs: Black Upward Mobility and Neighborhood Change in Cleveland, 1900 - 1980 (University of North Carolina Press, 2017).
