Abstract:
The objective of the proposed research is to study technologies and design systems that improve the capacity, reliability and latency performances of the fiber-wireless integrated system. The fiber-wireless integration provides one powerful solution to fulfill the increasing user requirement. Currently, the spectral efficiency in the fiber section is low with expensive components, the current modulation has poor performances and low reliability in millimeter-wave fiber-wireless systems, and the multi-band multi-cell coordination is difficult. We theoretically and experimentally explore new schemes for fiber transmissions supporting wireless networks with better coordination. The research of modulation and multiple access schemes for millimeter-wave fiber-wireless systems is carried out. Finally, we design an all-spectrum wireless access system using fiber-wireless integration technology. In summary, the research builds the foundation of future fiber-wireless systems in system design and DSP schemes.
