"The Public Policy program at Georgia Tech has given me far more than I could have ever expected. Leading up to my first year at Tech, I was afraid of being in a smaller major; I was afraid I would have fewer resources or limited access to activities I wanted to be involved in like research and internships. What I found in the Ivan Allen College was exactly the opposite. I had direct access to myprofessors and advisors which made it easy to build relationships with them. Public Policy at GT focuses largely on this student-faculty interaction, which helped me become a Research Assistant for two of my professors. I have loved working with these research teams and gaining the experience I’m going to need later in both my academic and professional careers.”

Freshman Audra Murphey in our School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech has made the most out of her freshman year. In addition to getting involved with research, Audra is a member of the Student Advisory Board - Ivan Allen College of Liberal Artsand a recipient of the Federal Jackets Fellowship, a $5,000 stipend designed to support Tech students working unpaid internships in Washington, DC. Audra is off to an amazing start at Tech and we can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of her time with us!
