Four Public Policy Students Receive OMED Tower Awards

On Thursday, April 6, 2017 the 23rd Annual Tower Awards were hosted by OMED:Educational Services at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The Public Policy students who received Tower Awards this year were: Margaret S. Kelley, Shekinah Hall, Reagan M. Johnson, and Janelle H. Owusu!

OMED Educational Services is the unit charged by Georgia Tech with the retention, development, and performance of the complete student learner who is traditionally underrepresented: African-American, Hispanic, and Native American.

OMED Educational Services is committed to providing academic support and mentorship to students while continuing to foster a supportive and inclusive campus environment. OMED created the Tower Awards 23 years ago as an annual celebration to acknowledge and reaffirm underrepresented students academic achievements. This year, more than 1200 students were academically eligible to receive a Tower Award, and the students honored were among the best and brightest at Georgia Tech.
