The Southeast Geometry Seminar is a series of semiannual one-day events focusing on geometric analysis. These events are hosted in rotation by the following institutions:
- The University of Alabama at Birmingham
- The Georgia Institute of Technology
- Emory University
- The University of Tennessee Knoxville
This event will be held on April 10, 2011 at Emory University
Registration: This event is free but registration is requested in order to provide organizers adequate information for participant accommodations. Please contact the Emory University organizer
Program: The following five speakers will give presentations on topics that include geometric analysis, and related fields, such as partial differential equations, general relativity, and geometric topology.
- Boris Rubin, Funk, Cosine, and Radon Transforms on Matrix Spaces and Grassmannians
- Joseph Fu, Algebraic integral geometry
- Paul Yang, TBA
- Robert Gulliver, Flow of Hypersurfaces by Curvatures in Riemannian Manifolds
- Ken Stephens, Manipulating Discrete Curvature on Surfaces
