The Graduate Committee announced the winners of the School of Mathematics graduate awards:

• Yun Gong and Luke Postle - Top PhD Student Award
• Alex Grigo - Best PhD Thesis
• Nan Lu - Best Teaching Assistant
• Ben Webb - Festa Fellowship
• Shannon Bishop - SIAM Student Chapter Certificate of Recognition

There were also other Instructional Awards given by the TA Coordinator. The "Best Math Lab Assistant" was won by Liangda Huang.

The undergraduate awards from the Spring were:

• Sunny Shah was the winner of the 2010 CETL/BP Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Award. He served the SOM as an undergraduate teaching assistant from Fall 2006 to Spring 2010 when he graduated with a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
