Georgia Tech to Participate in the First ACC Smithsonian Creativity and Innovation Festival in Washington

Georgia Tech is participating in the first ACC Smithsonian Creativity and Innovation Festival in Washington, DC on Oct. 13 - 15, 2017. The festival, a gathering of all institutions included in the Atlantic Coast Conference, will celebrate creativity and innovation with a specific focus on science, engineering, arts, and design, and will be held at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

Georgia Tech is seeking up to five completed innovative trans-disciplinary projects that embody the excellence and innovation to be showcased at the festival.

"We are encouraging faculty, staff, and students to submit engaging and compelling projects that demonstrate research and/or teaching impacts, and have the potential to attract visitors. Projects with a specific focus on science, engineering, arts, and design could include cutting edge technologies, innovative businesses or ideas, social innovation projects, interactive installations, or performances," Madison Cario, Director of Georgia Tech's Office of the Arts explains.
