SCS Introduces New Graduate Student Directory

Primary tabs

The Georgia Institute of Technology School of Computer Science is pleased to announce the launch of its Graduate Student Directory. With the College of Computing experiencing an enrollment boom, the new directory is a convenient way for the school’s many talented M.S. and Ph.D. students to showcase their diverse areas of research.

“With both public and private sectors in need of top computer scientists, these ‘LinkedIn-like’ profiles are a safe, secure, and easy-to-use way to connect with our students,” said SCS Chair Lance Fortnow. “We expect this directory will be a tremendous tool that promotes our students and helps them to connect with new and exciting opportunities to advance their careers.”

Once signed into the Georgia Tech network, current SCS M.S. and Ph.D. students use a simple form to upload headshot photos, bios, research interests, contact details, and additional information to create personal directory profiles. The directory profiles are publicly searchable, making it easier for fellow researchers, corporate recruiters, and other interested parties to connect with students.

Students experiencing issues with the directory or that have questions should email Academic Assistant Tiffany Jordan. Directories for the School of Computational Science and Engineering and School of Interactive Computing will roll out in the coming weeks.
