Public Lecture: “Festival Reimagine Rio: The Intersection of Performance, Innovation, Leadership, Development and Film”

Professor Kirk Bowman is the co-founder and director of the international NGO Rise Up & Care (www.riseup.care). This past year Professor Bowman co-produced five feature documentary films in Brazil which enjoyed over 450 screening in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016. This lecture discusses this production process as well as his on-going efforts to promote community-supported high performance activities as modes of development for the youth of Rio.
