Compliance Campaign Underway for New Employees

Primary tabs

Each year, Georgia Tech employees are required to affirm their understanding of the Institute’s ethical standards and the conflict of interest policy, and certify all external activities and financial relationships. In addition, employees are expected to complete cyber security and Haven for Faculty & Staff training.

All faculty, staff, and student workers hired on or after March 1, 2016, must complete all four compliance requirements between September 6 and October 7, 2016. Haven for Faculty & Staff training is a one-time requirement and will not reoccur in future annual compliance campaigns. Newly hired graduate student assistants (GRAs) are exempt from completing Haven for Faculty & Staff if they have taken the student version.

Visit "My Compliance Campaigns" on TechWorks (techworks.gatech.edu) to learn more about these requirements and submit the required information. Employees do not have to complete all four compliance requirements in one sitting; they can be completed in multiple sittings. It should take less than two hours to complete all of the training and compliance requirements.

Understanding your responsibilities as a public employee and as a member of the Georgia Tech community is important for maintaining ethical standards across the Institute. It also helps ensure the Institute remains compliant with federal and state laws.

Employees who do not comply by October 7, 2016, may receive a formal disciplinary notice from the Institute.
