Bio
John Peponis studies the principles and constraints that govern the generation of built form and its social, cultural and cognitive functions. His work includes the development of methods, measures and software for the analysis of built space at the scale of buildings and urban areas. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the General Services Administration, the Ministry of Research in Greece, the Georgia Tech Foundation, Steelcase, Perkins+Will and Dar Al-Handasah. He is a registered architect in Greece since 1982, where he collaborates regularly with Kokkinou and Kourkoulas Architects (http //www.kokkinoukourkoulas.com).
