Students known to be in the immediate vicinity of the event have reported they were unharmed.
The process is ongoing, and Georgia Tech is focused on locating students who are participating in its official programs. Information on students, staff, or faculty who may be on personal travel is not available.
What is known:
Georgia Tech-Lorraine used its emergency notification procedure, similar to GTENS, encouraging its students to take precaution and requesting they check in with local administration. The Lorraine campus is more than 300 miles from Nice.
