Georgia Tech Encourages Women In Computing

(October 23, 2006)--Georgia Tech, as a leader in increasing the participation of women in computing, will host the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) semi-annual meeting on November 15-16, 2006. Leaders from over 80 distinguished universities, corporations and non-profits from across the country will attend and support NCWIT’s efforts to significantly increase girl's and women's participation in the information technologies for innovation, competitiveness, social impact and equity.

The College of Computing at Georgia Tech will hold a reception on the 15th in order to meet NCWIT leaders and share ideas about the meaningful role women can and must play in technical innovation.
