Home Park Cleanup Set for Saturday

Georgia Tech President G.P. "Bud" Peterson and Val Peterson will join Buzz, the Office of Government and Community Relations, Tech students and members of the Home Park Community Improvement Association, along with members of the Atlanta City Council and Atlanta Police Department in a beautification and safety effort for the Home Park neighborhood.
Volunteers will meet at 8 AM at the 10th Street United Methodist Church. Two shifts, starting at 8:30 AM and 1 PM, will work to trim bushes and trees for safety, pick up trash, and make note of inadequate lighting around the neighborhood.
Breakfast and lunch are provided. Volunteers should bring work gloves.
Members of the Super Clean Up Committee are Midtown Blue, Midtown Green, Georgia Tech, Zone 5 of the Atlanta Police Department, Atlanta City Council members Kwanza Hall and Ivory Young, the Department of Corrections, and the Home Park Community Improvement Association.

- 8:17 to 8:20 AM: Importance of Outreach to Neighbors by President G.P. "Bud" Peterson
- 8:20 to 8:25 AM: City Council Concerns about Crime by Atlanta City Council members Kwanza Hall and Ivory Young
- 8:25 to 8:30 AM: Safety Briefing and Marching Orders by Colonel Wayne Mock with Midtown Blue
