U.S. Department of Education Fall internship application deadline

 The Department of Education (ED) offers internships for students interested in seeking valuable work experience in government and federal education policy and administration. Volunteers have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the Department's mission to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access.   http://www2.ed.gov/students/prep/job/intern/index.html

 

Deadline for Fall 2016 internships: July 15

 

There are other deadlines for spring and summer internships at ED.  These are unpaid internships.   Summer 2016 = March 15    Spring = October 1

 

Students who are interested in applying should also explore possible funding through the Federal Jackets Fellowship, which offers $5,000 to help defray the cost of living while interning in Washington, D.C. Internships are of the applicant’s choosing but must be in D.C. and in the office of a member of Congress, with a Congressional Committee, and executive branch office in D.C. or around Washington, D.C.   http://www.gov.gatech.edu/internships/dc
