Auditions for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" will be held on Sunday, January 10th and Monday, January 11th. Callbacks will be Tuesday, January 12th.

Auditions should consist of singing a prepared song and performing a cold read. The prepared song should be around 32 bars of something similar to this show, but not from it, and there will be a piano player to provide accompaniment, if sheet music is brought. Furthermore, no karaoke tracks or CDs may be used.  Accapella singing is discouraged.

Callbacks will have a short dance sequence.

You have to keep your head in the game if you want to be the champion of the spelling bee.  For this diverse group of teenage spellers, each presented word carries humorous, heart-wrenching and embarrassing stories of life at home.  Keeping a clear head in the midst of these distractions can cause them to hear that soul-crushing “ding” of the bell - a spelling mistake.
