Ensuring Georgia Tech's Research Preeminence

As one of the themes of the Georgia Tech Strategic Vision, the co-chairs of "Ensuring Georgia Tech's Research Preeminence" welcome anyone with an interest in the future direction of the Institute's research enterprise to participate in this town hall forum.

Agenda:
Open forum to discuss what steps Georgia Tech should take in the next 25 years to ensure its research preeminence. Discussion topics include:

  • The role of research preeminence at Georgia Tech
  • Does GT have a right culture for ensuring research preeminence?
  • Is the Institute structure optimized for research preeminence?
  • What types of investments should GT make to build research preeminence?

Structure:
It will be a Town Hall format.  Following a brief introduction, we will open the floor for discussion of ideas. Discussion will be led by Professors Aaron Bobick (Computing) and Michael Chapman (Physics).
