The Storm Over Safe Harbor: The E.U. Strikes Down Its Privacy Agreement with the U.S.

On October 6 the European Court of Justice struck down the "Safe Harbor" Agreement that governs flows of personal data from the European Union to the United States. Peter Swire, Nancy J. and Lawrence P. Huang Professor of Law and Ethics in the Scheller College of Business, who helped to negotiate the Agreement, will discuss the implications and ways forward on Wednesday, October 14th at 5 - 6:30. The event is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by Georgia Tech's Jean Monnet Center of Excellence and Center for International Business Education and Research.
