American Pronunciation (intermediate/advanced)
  • August 25 – October 1 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00-1:30 pm)

In this course, you will learn what aspects of your pronunciation may be interfering with how well your listeners understand you. You will practice mastering the physical processes required to make specific sounds, and you will learn how American English speakers use pausing, phrasing, intonation, linking, and stress in their pronunciation. You will learn strategies and techniques that you can use to make your pronunciation more comprehensible to listeners who may not be familiar with international accents.
