Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, known as Bavarian Motor Works in English, is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company that was founded in 1916. The BMW Group, which is headquartered in Munich, Germany operates in 150 countries around the world.  Forbes ranks BMW as the 16th most valuable brand in the world.

As a worldwide strategic partner of BMW, Georgia Tech students have the opportunity to intern with BMW in the following areas:  production methods, corporate IT, supply chain management, powertrain technologies, and human resources/recruiting. This collaboration began in 2011 and remains strong with 5-10 GT students interning with BMW each year.
